System Units                            Back Next

The "System Unit" is the primary enclosure (case) and all the hardware that goes into it.  This is often miss-named the "CPU", but the CPU is just one of the parts inside the system unit.  BEWARE:  You will often see ads for systems that only include the system unit, keyboard, mouse, and speakers!  If you check the fine print you will note "Monitor not included".  You will even find systems that do not include the OPERATING SYSTEM You will want to keep these items in mind when comparing prices.

This is a base System Unit without a CDROM drive.
